What is Psychotherapy?

Clinical counselling (also known as psychotherapy) is a place where a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) provides professional, confidential, and compassionate support and guidance to individuals facing a wide range of personal, emotional, spiritual, and psychological challenges. It is the job of an RCC to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, as well as empowering them to overcome difficulties, gain insight, navigate mental health concerns, develop coping strategies, enhance overall well-being, and foster personal growth. In being dedicated to helping others through active listening, empathy, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques, an RCC strives to establish trust and rapport with clients to facilitate their journey towards positive change and self-discovery.
